Introduction to SEO

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the practice of improving your website to increase visibility in search engine results and drive organic traffic. 

When a user types a query into a search engine like Google or Bing, a list of results pops up on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP). Marketers divide these results into two main categories: paid and organic. 

Organic traffic is the result of clicking on the organic results, and is essentially any traffic that you aren’t paying for. It is the opposite of paid traffic, which is traffic that is generated by clicking on paid advertising and promotions.
